Greendatabase.org is a nonprofit organization focused on improving the environment by educating people through the process of gathering and sharing information about all green-related topics.
The organization will also provide an avenue for architectural students and intern architects to be involved with research on green issues and materials.
The purpose of the organization is to educate the general public and the architectural community in a scientific way. Our goal is to do this by gathering information on sustainable issues related to building with regard to the health, safety and welfare of the public. This is done by using information from ASHRAE, ASTM, US Green Building Council, US EPA, N Environment Programmer’s Sustainable Construction and Building Initiative (SBCI), and other related agencies, laboratories and sources.
Active research is being done in building products, life cycle assessment, energy use, alternative energy, water and air pollution, and IAQ (Indoor Air Quality), among other areas.
